My Personal Experience with T180 PROFESSIONAL™ Hydrating Mask

If you’re like me, you’re always looking for the next best product to take your hair quality to the next level. When it comes to lasting shine and glistening moisture, a hair mask is typically my solution to dullness and dryness, and with good reason. There is nothing like sitting back and letting a rich, creamy mask sink into your follicles, enveloping your strands in the conditioning goodness it’s been seeking well after you rinse it out. Safely and styling my hair is probably my number one concern when it comes to maintaining my coif, and it is impossible to do so without proper hydration. So, when I came across T180 PROFESSIONAL™ and their intensive Hydrating Mask, I had no choice but to give it a try and see if it was worth the hype.

The Hair Mask

The T180 PROFESSIONAL™ Hydrating Mask is made with all-natural plant extracts, so even those with the most sensitive skin and scalp will be able to enjoy its conditioning benefits. This brand is also committed to formulating all of its products in a totally vegan and cruelty-free manner, so you can enjoy soft, moisturized hair without negatively impacting your lifestyle or environment.

This hair mask is silicone-free as well, which means you can commit to using this product regularly without the fear of lingering residue or product build-up. This brand recommends using this Hydrating Mask as a consistent conditioner for those with high porosity hair, and a weekly treatment for those with low porosity hair. Since I am on the low porosity end of the spectrum, I stuck with using this hair mask about once a week, only using it twice if I felt i really needed that extra dose of moisture.

With ingredients such as Avocado Oil and Hydrolyzed Quinoa, I was super excited to treat my hair with this mask. It seemed incredibly gentle and nourishing, and since my hair and scalp don’t always respond well to most products, I felt confident that the organic compounds in the formula would work well with my body chemistry.

My Hair Type

Though this Hydrating Hair Mask will benefit all hair types, I found it is especially helpful for those with curly hair that needs a little more protection and care than other hair types. My personal hair type is 4B, which means my curls are more like coils with a Z-pattern and are more prone to shrinkage and dryness. So, when choosing my hair products, I always need to make sure that my hydration needs are completely covered.

In general, I tend to wash my hair about once a week. Any more and I risk drying my coils out way too much and causing split ends that travel quickly up the hair shaft. If I feel my scalp needs an extra round of cleansing, I usually go in with a co-wash in the middle of the week. A co-wash is a cleansing conditioner that focuses on getting rid of product buildup and soothing a dry, flaky scalp. Since this hair mask has no silicone, I had no problem using it after a co-wash to get that

silky soft finish I love.

Using the Product

I used this product over the course of a month, as that would give my hair enough time to get used to the product, and for me to notice any change in my hair quality. With my first use, I shampooed my hair as I usually would and then added the hair mask, letting it sit on my scalp for about 15 minutes or so. You don’t always have to commit to leaving the product on for so long, but since my hair can be dryer than most, I wanted to let it sit for a while so my hair could reap all the conditioning benefits. Upon rinsing the hair mask out for the first time, I noticed a difference in my hair texture right when I stepped out of the shower. My curls looked a little more defined than usual, and the detangling process went much smoother than it usually did. To me, this was more than a great start to my new routine. I couldn’t wait to see the progress over the next few weeks!

As my little experiment went on, I alternated between leaving the hair mask on briefly, for about five minutes, and then letting it sit for a full 15-20 minutes, just to see if there was any huge difference in softness and manageability. I will admit, my hair responded a lot better to the days where I elongated to process, but even on those wash days where I opted for a quick treatment, I still noticed a world of difference.

At the end of the month, I compared my hair to the texture and quality it had possessed at the beginning of the month. By consistently using this hair mask, it had cut down my styling and detangling time by almost half! I didn’t have to struggle with loosening up my coils – the product gave my hair just enough slip to wear I could twist, braid, and comb with ease, with barely any elbow grease required. I was over the moon about this. Normally I would dread wash days, but I actually looked forward to seeing how healthy my hair was becoming due to this hydrating mask.

My hair had also retained moisture a lot better and I didn’t feel the need to depend on a leave-in conditioner as frequently as I did in the months before. My curls were bouncy and luscious, and that definition would last all the way up until my next wash. I couldn’t believe it! Normally I would have to wrestle with multiple moisturizing creams, serums, and gel to get these results, but using the hair mask had given me the results that I had only achieved with the help of several products and tools.

My consensus? T180 PROFESSIONAL™ has struck gold with this hair mask. Even those with thin or fine hair would definitely benefit from using this product. It offers an intense round of conditioning without weighing down your hair or making it feel greasy, as many hair masks or deep conditioners will do. I have definitely found true love with this hair mask and will continue

using it until I run out… and then I’ll add a few more jars to my cart just to be safe.
